As a college student, author “Captain Jack” Jaknovich yearned to understand the world. A question posed to his Ancient History class caused him to write an impromptu essay one evening. During the following six months, he captured dozens of revelations by putting the words to paper as they flowed from his mind. After completing the initial arc, he realized the best way to present the information was in book form. While he worked on the book, he happened upon interesting people and information which fit patterns which are detailed in the Appendix.
The Big Picture discusses how businesses and nongovernmental organizations use governments, the media, and other marketing tools to manipulate people’s fears to ensure profits for themselves and their associates. Jaknovich shows how this multi-pronged strategy causes many people to fear independent travel, limit perspectives to that of mainstream media, and remain apathetic to others’ unethical practices. The essays include some guidance for the psychological revolution needed to ensure the survival of life in a sustainable manner.
Drawing on interpretations from many realms of thought, The Big Picture presents a study on existence and evolution along with practical insight that can help readers to live longer, happier lives.
